American Dish Service is indeed proud of being the originators of low-energy, low-temperature commercial warewashing machines, a concept developed by the Founder of American Dish Service forty years ago.

Energy conservation was not yet a major issue, as it is today, when American Dish Service determined that the most efficient and effective way of properly cleaning and sanitizing eating utensils was by means of chlorine sanitizer dispensed with an Automatic Chemical Dispensing System, thereby eliminating the need for 180 degree hot water.

The American Dish Service low-energy machine was submitted to National Sanitation Foundation for thorough testing and approval, which American Dish Service received. Constant contact with NSF to assure compliance with all requirements has been maintained throughout the years. At that time, American Dish Service was the Pioneer and the sole manufacturer of low-energy warewashing machines, a design which has been duplicated, but never equalled.
